We are going to use Illustrator to learn the concepts and physical space of 3-D. Why Illustrator you ask. Well, because Illustrator is likely the easiest tool to use with the best visual return. Illustrator will allow us to focus on learning 3-D concepts you can apply to print design and screen design projects.

People often think about complex movie and game animation when they hear the term 3-D. There are lots of other applications of 3-D, like products, packaging design, and even prototype print mockups. Where you take and how you apply the concepts we are going to cover is up to you.
