Resegone Loop: Superb Panoramas of Woods and Rocks
A true classic: the Resegone loop!
We start from the Piani d'Erna, easily reached by cable car from Lecco. Follow the signs in all directions, which will lead to signposts: we follow trails 5 and then 1, which are fairly well-marked. The route is incredibly varied: starting from a dense forest, we move on to more exposed areas, where you'll have to climb over simple rocks using your hands, and you'll encounter short sections with chains.
After a final, very steep section, we reach the Azzoni refuge and, after a few meters, the summit cross, which offers a unique view.
For the descent, we followed trails 17 and 7, which are initially very steep (17) and roughly marked: an offline GPS track is highly recommended.
Hiking boots, appropriate clothing, and water are obviously required.
This is a fairly challenging route; a certain level of fitness and experience on exposed terrain is required.
