Calculate the average density of the Earth in terms of acceleration due to gravity (g), gravitational constant (G) and radius of Earth (R).
In this video, Mayank Sir from Proscience explains one of the most important Class 9 Physics derivations from the Gravitation chapter in a very simple and board-oriented manner.

🎯 Extremely Important For:
✅ CBSE school exams
✅ 2 & 3 mark numericals
✅ Concept-based questions
✅ Olympiad foundation
✅ Class 10 Physics basics
🔬 Concepts Used:
✔Newton’s law of gravitation
✔ Formula for acceleration due to gravity
✔ Relation between mass and density
✔ Earth treated as a uniform sphere
📚 Explanation Logic:
We know:
g = GM / R²
Mass of Earth:
M = 4/3 πR³ρ
Substituting value of M:
g = G(4/3 πR³ρ) / R²
Simplifying:
ρ = 3g / (4πGR)
✅ Average density of Earth:
ρ = *3g / 4πGR*
