The compassion and mercy of your Lord
One day, the Prophet (peace be upon him) went on a campaign with his Companions. When they saw a wooded place with plenty of water, they took a break. One of them saw a birdhouse. The mother bird was not in the nest, only tiny babies. One of the young people there started to grab and pet one of the chicks. The bird's mother soon turned back. When she could not find her baby in her nest, she started crying. The sobbing mountains and stones were moaned by her soul-shattering crowing. Everyone was gaping in amazement. How that was compassion and mercy! Our Prophet (sallahu alaihi wasallam) was watching what happened from afar. He came to his friends and said "Are you surprised by what this bird did to save her offspring?" asked. Those who were there said, "Yes, O Rasool'Allah". Our Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) said: "Know that the compassion and mercy of your Lord, who created you, is much more than the mercy of this bird to its offspring." Then he asked for the bird to be released.
O man without prayers! Look how much your Lord loves you
