This DVD, dedicated to the most famous preserved narrow-gauge railway in France, brings together the films "Steam in Vivarais" and "Velay-Vivarais - Renaissance of a Mountain Train."
Through these two programs, you will discover the magnificent scenery along the 69 km of preserved lines, from the wild gorges traversed by the Tournon-Lamastre line to the vast high-altitude landscapes through which the Dunières-St. Agrève line winds its way.
As for the locomotives, the Mallet locomotives inherited from the Departmental Railways take center stage, but the three types of Billard railcars are also prominently featured, as are the connecting rod shunters with their mixed mini-trains.
Finally, the icing on the cake: archive footage will complete the experience, immersing you in the golden age of this railway that refused to die.
