This is absolutely ridiculous. I was around Balogun market today, and I couldn't help but observe that 99.9% of all the mannequins I saw had surgically enhanced posteriors. My curiosity got the best of me and I had to ask how come, and I was told that the cloth vendors contacted the manufacturers of the mannequins and requested they enhance the shape of their plastic buttocks - and their reason was that, mannequins with bigger buttocks sell clothes faster. "The women no dey gree buy cloth wey we put on top mannequin wey no get big nyash". I'm seriously confused. Is this the new beauty standard we're now imposing on our sisters and daughters? Well I don't know...
Please can someone explain this phenomenon to me...do you agree with the seller's reason or do you have a counter opinion.
Women, please what do you think? Is it true you wouldn't buy outfits displayed on a mannequin with a moderately-sized or small bum? If yes, why?
