Too much moisture in your brake fluid can be a safety concern drastically dropping the reliability and performance system.
Here I’m using my OEMTOOLS model number 25269 brake fluid tester.
We have various options to select what type of brake fluid your vehicle is equipped with, refer to your owner’s manual to determine that. Then it also has lights to determine the water content of the fluid.
Locate your master cylinder reservoir, clean the area around the cap and then remove the cap.
With the tester on and set to the correct fluid type, dip the probes into the fluid.
One of the lights will illuminate based on the moisture content. Mine is under 1% which is great. If higher than 3%, the fluid is required to be replaced.
