Okapi Calf is Ready For His Closeup!
Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo welcomed a rare male okapi calf on September 24. This adorable newborn will spend his first few months "nesting" inside the barn with mom, "Betty." Okapis have a long prehensile tongue used to pull leaves from trees. The tongue also comes in handy for grooming their velvet-like coats.
