WHY YOU CANNOT ASSIGN @locahost in MYSQL fixed!
I encounted a problem during the intallation of mysql 8.0
i could not get the hostname @local host as a root user. the problem was i had older version of mysql existing in my services. i have shown how i was able to resolve the issue in this video.
