How to Make a Bootable Mac OS X Mountain Lion 10.8 on USB Thumb Drive or External Hardrive or DVD,So Here are the Steps:

Purchase or Re-Download Mac OS X Mountain Lion 10.8 from the Mac App Store
Find & right-click the "Install OS X Mountain Lion" application in your application's folder
Click on "Show Package Contents"
Click on "Contents"
Click on "Shared Support"
Double-click to open & mount the "InstallESD.dmg" file.
Open "Disk Utility" located in the Utilities folder in your Applications
Click on your USB Thumb Drive or External Hard Drive or DVD
Click on the tap "Restore"
Drag the USB Thumb Drive or External Hard Drive or DVD to the "Destination" location
Drag the Mac OS X Install ESD to the "Source" location.
Hit "Restore"
DONE!
