How to Root and Unlock the Nexus 5 [2014]
Instruction on How to root Android 4.4.2 KitKat on the Nexus 5. I Have tested this on my Google Nexus 5 device,and it works great.
Mainly Rooting Google Nexus 5 has 3 Major Steps:
1. Installing the Driver
2. Unlocking the Bootloader and then Install Custom Recovery
3. Root Nexus 5 running Android 4.4.2
Once you are done with above steps, There you have it -- your Nexus 5 device running Android 4.4.2 is now rooted. You may verify that by going to the app drawer and looking for SuperSU app. Alternatively You can use an app such as root checker or titanium backup to confirm your root status.
