This is a multipurpose screw that is not just for wood, it's multi-fibrous so it works for sheet metal, cement, fiber board, any type application you're using.
But this is not your ordinary screw. These fasteners feature several patterns that make them truly unique. Take an up -close look at this multipurpose screw. For example, the self drilling zip tip is designed for fast starts while this W cut thread design acts like a mini saw blade, actually cutting through any fibrous material and dramatically reducing the amount of torque required. The screw virtually pulls itself into the material with practically no pressure on the drill. This is true even when drilling directly into the center of a knot. Because the thread is designed to cut through fibers rather than pressing them aside, it significantly reduces splitting. The lower portion of the screw shank features what GRK calls C threads that enlarge the screw hole for the non-threaded portion of the fastener, reducing friction on the screw shank and further lowering the torque required for driving. The C thread also increases the screw's drawing strength. Even the screw head is uniquely designed. Cutting teeth on the underside cut a perfectly clean hole, even in the most brittle materials and self counter-sinking cutting pockets transport drill dust away from the edge of the screw hole.
All of GRK’s fasteners incorporate a star drive head.
Well on the star drive you have six points of contact, unlike others you have four, where you're getting more grip, more torque, more drive from your bits.
These same features are incorporated into the company's composite deck screws, which require no pre-drilling and come in six different colors to match over a wide variety of composite materials.
