BiangBiang noodles (aka hand pulled noodles with spicy oil) are a type of noodles originated from the Shaanxi Province of China.
Traditionally it isn't made with ground beef so it is my twist on this classic dish. I'm sharing this video due to popular demand from friends and family so I hope you give it a try!
Ingredients for 2 servings:
Noodles:
2 cups of AP flour
1 tsp salt
2/3 cup room temperature water (you may not need all of it)
Meat mixture:
300 g ground beef
2 tbsp corn starch
2 tbsp soy sauce
Sauce:
1 tbsp Chinese vinegar
3 tbsp Soy sauce
Toppings:
2 cloves of garlic, minced or grated
1 small nob of ginger, minced or grated
3 green onions, chopped
crushed red chili peppers
crushed Szechuan peppercorns (optional)
vegetable of choice (I used bak choy)
Assembly (per serving)
1/2 of your ground beef
1/2 of your cooked noodles (3 pieces of pulled noodles) along with your vegetables.
1 tsp of ginger
1 tsp of garlic
2 tbsp chopped onions
1.5 tbsp soy sauce mixture
1 tbsp crushed red pepper
pour over hot vegetable oil
