The EU is concerned about the protection of Twitter users
The drastic restructuring of Twitter's workforce following the takeover by Elon Musk has European authorities worried. The EU is calling the platform to account over its ability to fight misinformation and hateful content.
"We want to be sure that after such a sequence of different decisions to fire the employees, it's still possible to have competent people... in those companies to be fully compliant with the regulations," Didier Reynders, the European Commission's justice chief, told The Irish Times.
