Motorola Edge 2024 PWM and dithering tests
The Motorola Edge 2024 uses a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC and a pOLED 10-bit display. By default, the display uses DC-like dimming down to 45% brightness, then 720Hz PWM at 44% brightness and below.
Motorola's flicker-reduction setting completely disables PWM and uses DC-like dimming at ALL brightness levels, something no other OEM does right now.
The 144Hz refresh rate setting changes the base DC-dimming frequency to 444Hz.
Dithering appears to be present using the natural and radiant color modes. Strangely enough, the vivid color mode shows no sign of dithering.
