Yadhira's pov
I and Riley walked inside the house and then towards the kitchen. "Hey guys." One of the ladies who work at the house greeted us.
"Hey Ms Rosalie. Did we miss dinner?" Riley asked casual. He adored Ms Rosalie.
"You did. I saved you a plate. It is in the fridge." She told us goodnight and left the room.
"Yadhira? Are you on the door?" Sophie asked me. She was five years old and she was scared about the robber men.
"Yes sweetie. Now go back to sleep." I tucked her in and gave her a sweet kiss on the check.
I lie on my bed thinking of my mum. She was an amazing person; she was acting like an angel, my angel. Something in my mind tells me that I have family. I have a dad and hopefully brothers or sisters or both. I count Riley as my family and everyone in the home but it's not the same.
"Yadhira! Wake wake up!!" the girls started shaking me.
"Why what's wrong?" I asked them and opened my eyes to face them.
"It's Katherine's birthday today!" Sophie said excited. Sophie and Katherine are best friends.
"Let's go and make her breakfast." I suggested.
"Then we can bring her to bed!" Sophie clapped her hands.
"We have to ask Ms Madison, Sophie." I told her. Ms Madison was the woman who was making us the breakfast.
"She will say yes! Now let's go!" Sophie said and pulled me all the way down to the kitchen.
"Ms Madison, can we bring Kate's breakfast at her bed? It is her birthday today!" Sophie was very happy today.
"I have already taken care of it. Take the table up there and take it to her." She pointed into a small bed table. Carefully I took it and started walk to our room.
"Room services?" Riley chuckled.
"Oh...What a funny joke." I fake laughed.
"See ya, later girls." He told to the girls. "Babes." He winked at me and left.
"Room services for the birthday girl!" I said as we entered the room.
"Happy birthday, Kate!" Sophie said and hugged Kate.
Maybe I was wrong. Maybe these people in this house are my family.
