Denmark has a perfect record of never having chosen a song internally. They did, however, miss quite a few contests - particularly when they withdrew between 1967 and 1977, but also when they were relegated a few times around the turn of the millennium. Other than that, 1958 and 1965 are missing because the runners-up were not announced.
