So I decided to get caught up in all the hype and buy this new wavetable synthesizer. In the next few videos we are going to walk through some of the features that make this synth unique and fun to program. Will this soft synth replace all other? Absolutely not. However, it's the first synth to come out in a long time that has some features that get me interested.
This first part is a walk through of pretty much everything in the synth minus the wavetable creations (that will be part 2). If you ever get confused about some of these concepts I have a number of videos on Bitwig Studio's Polysynth that should clear things up.
For those of you who are novices to the third party synth world I start out by talking about other software synths that may or may not be of interest you.
In my opinion it makes the most sense to learn the tools you already have first. Never buy something just for the sake of buying it. Ask yourself is this something I want to use everyday? If the answer is yes and in your price range then it's probably worth buying. However, many people will answer yes and then not actually follow through and use it everyday. Serum will be the go to synth for some but certainly not all.
