Help Me Breathe. 【Klance, Shiro & Keith】Voltron (Thanks for 500+ subscribers!)
So I would love to just jump right into the little details of this edit, but first thanks are in order! Thank-you all for your support, I can't even begin to describe how much I appreciate it! :'( I honestly love each and every one of you with all my heart. I love reading your comments and chatting with you (I know I reply in overwhelmingly large paragraphs...I try to tone it down lol). But honestly, your comments make my day, and I love talking about even the stupidest stuff with you. :'D If I could give you each a bear hug right now, I definitely would, but I guess this will have to do. So thank-you for putting up with long delays between videos, and thank-you so much for taking the time to watch my edits!
I really wanted to upload a gritty/dark edit, and dear lord...this is probably the darkest thing I have done to date. This had been on the backburner for quite some time while I was working on other projects, but last night I finally had the extra motivation to finish it. So long story short, I pulled an all nighter and now I am sleep deprived... x_x
Anyways, most of you are probably wondering what the deal with this edit is. This is very similar to my previous edit, except it deals with a much darker subject. (I had to do both because of feels) When I first began this, it was on the basis of: "if something happened (and now it has...yikes) to Shiro, how would Keith react"? We all know Keith is terrible at handling his own emotions and has never really opened up to anybody besides Shiro. For me, S2 really cemented the fact that Shiro is the most important person in Keith's life. And when you lose someone you love that much and you're going through hard times it's so easy to just lose yourself in everything. You become emotionally numb, and everything just feels so unreal and disconnected; it's almost like you're not even truly living and just kind of going through the motions. And that's where Lance comes in. (And ohhh boy, was I ever mean to Lance in this edit. I feel bad) Lance sees how badly Keith is hurting, and wants to do anything he can to help him (because the poor boy loves him). And Keith desperately wants to open up to Lance as well, but a part of him just can't get over what happened. Now I know without a doubt that the creators of Voltron will probably go a less dark route in S3...but a girl can have her dark angsty AUs, right?
I really enjoyed working with fanart again. To be honest, I think I might like using fanart more than footage from the actual show? I just love how creative and wild you can get when editing with fanart...and that's just something that I find harder to do when you're working within the confines of footage from the show. (And it takes a hell of a lot longer to do...I'm currently working on a big project made entirely of masked footage and let's just say it's gonna take me at least half a year x_x)
