Jordan Peterson Gives Advice To Creative People
As I have been following Jordan Peterson for quite some time now I thought I'd react to some of the advice Peterson has given to creative people. As I have also been reading writings by Carl Jung and his psychoanalysis of the philosopher Nietzsche, I thought I'd add their advice to creative people as well. Both Jordan Peterson and Carl Jung seem to value creative people, where as Jordan Peterson seems to focus on practical advice to help creative people survive, Carl Jung seems to focus on the psychological processes necessary to keep creative people from destroying themselves. There is a lot we can learn from Nietzsche, not only from his writings, but also from psychoanalyzing his life, as he is a good case study on the potential life path of a creative person. Jordan Peterson on the other hand, while also being a creative person, can help us understand how to balance our life practically, while ensuring we have enough money to survive in this ever increasing financial world. Jung helps us balance all of these as we seek to individuate, not in a vacuum, but individuate against something, against adversity. The creative person must sustain a more difficult burden than the conservative, as they not only have to take on the burden of everyday life, but take on an additional burden that comes about from participating in the creative process.
