Floating with a Manta Ray off Keauhou Bay, Big Island, Hawaii
Video shows pretty much our whole time in the water. Skip to about 0:46 for the first manta sighting, then it's pretty often for the rest of the video.
I went out last night for a short tour with Hawaii Island & Ocean Tours. They provided gear for people without, then we took a boat a short distance out to where they had a tiny floating platform with these bright underwater lights. The lights attract the plankton, then the manta(s) show up to eat the plankton.
I think the lights had a major UV component, which is why they appeara so bright in certain reflections and when viewed directly here. The lighting wasn't this blue or this extreme in person, but visibility was great. This was my first time using this GoPro in years, and the first time ever underwater or at night.
