Tube-Loop Antenna- 40m
Shout out to Eystein PY4ZEV- who gave me the idea.
Bicycle inner tube, wrapped with wire about 3cm to 4cm spacing.
Wire attached direct to the feedline. One side braid, the other side core.
7 turns for the coax choke.
Length of wire?- - No idea, i made it up as i went along. Experiment!
Two SSB German contacts at 500miles, a few PSK31 contacts, best being 1400miles. FT8, heard in 4X on 40m, heard in the US on 30m using 5w.
Not your main antenna! - But fun for a weekend of play.
