Fixing An Exploded Playstation 3 - Failed Tokin Replacement and Live Stream Follow Up
In this video I'll be repairing the damage I caused to my YLOD CECH03 when attempting to replace the Tokin capacitors on a previous live stream at • PS3 CECH03 YLOD - Lets see if we can fix it!
I failed to bridge the VCIN and VCOUT of the power rails for the RSX and CELL processors respectively. When powering on the system as the capacitors weren't in parallel they ending up detonating like small PCB atomic bombs.
