Gates Corporation | 110th Anniversary
In October of 1911, our founder Charles Gates, purchased a tire & rubber company & set up a shop in Denver, CO named "Gates Rubber Company." A few years later, Charles' brother, John, invented the V-Belt, which revolutionized power transmission.
Now, 110 years later, the small family-owned business has grown into a leading manufacturer of application-specific fluid power & power transmission solutions. A lot has changed since then, but we are still dedicated to moving the world forward.
