Nordic walking is accessible to everyone. It is an ideal aerobic workout for cardio, weight loss, and stress relief. People with disabilities can use poles for support and mobility to improve their condition and restore their health.
The video presents special exercises that help beginners quickly master Nordic walking technique and correct potential errors.
The unique feature of Nordic walking is its ability to safely move across any terrain using poles, engage the upper body, and relieve stress on the leg joints.
Long strides and support on straightened knees increase the load on the joints (hips, knees, and ankles). A natural stride length and knee bend provide additional cushioning during the stance phase and protect the joints from excessive strain.
Being like Columbus is exciting, but I recommend all beginners consult a guide (instructor) who will guide them through the shortest path to mastering natural walking with poles. The main recommendation when learning from videos is not to read or copy them literally. Walking style and the development of effective technique are influenced by external and internal factors that should be considered when learning independently: age and physical condition, training goals, terrain and relief, route duration, and the quality of poles.
It is best to complete the full training course for beginners or instructors under the guidance of an experienced coach. You can find your instructor on the website of the Nordic Walking School in Belarus: www.nordicwalking.by or by calling +375 29 112-01-74
