In this video I'm discussing the story Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng that was made into the Hulu series starring Kerry Washington and Reese Witherspoon. It's an intense story that really hones in on the complexities surrounding adoption.

Not only was it a well done series but especially relatable to adoptees, adoptive parents, birth parents or anyone with links to the adoption world.

Set in the 1990s the story is told with such cinematic flare and attention to detail down to the popular 90s re-mixed songs, decor and racial sentiments, it seems every detail was entwined into the story.

The cast was excellent. Kerry Washington was brilliant and though Reese Witherspoon made me hate her character so much it makes me love her that much more as an actor.
This story gave me all the feels. I'd love to know what you thought about Little Fires Everywhere. Was it an accurate portrayal of adoption issues? Leave a comment below.
