Joan Jackson, 92, was the organist at Brithdir Church for more than 60 years. The little church out in the country with no power and no heat besides one small stove was a cornerstone of the community and the district. It was recently torn down, but lives on in Jackson's memory and in a small model of the church on her coffee table.
