Please be kind to yourself... remember that how others hear you and see you (reception) is different to how you hear and see yourself (perception).
If you want to improve the way you sound, it does require you to first calibrate your reception and perception, otherwise you'll never be comfortable with how you sound, and you won't make the move to improve it.
