The Life and Death of Neversoft
You've seen the news about H2M, don't be surprised, Activision shuts down each and every thing that people like. Let's go back to one of it's earliest cases.
The Rise and Fall of Neversoft is something that I could have never imagined happening. Nevermind it being 20 years to the date after its inception.
From three friends breaking off from a company, to creating and working on some of the biggest franchises in gaming history. Neversoft is by far one of the most underappreciated game development studios to grace our screens.
Their lifetime was not all sunshine and roses however. At the hand of Activision they ended up pushing daisies. It seems that is what Activision does now, just shut things down when there is a slight inkling of lost profit. Assimilation into the Cod machine dooms those who dare to deviate from the norm.
