I wish I could do the Windows versions, but right now, I just feel like uploading my walkthroughs of different demos and applications (in other words, the beta versions of some programs). Anyway, this is the MS-DOS version of the Putt-Putt Joins the Parade demo, the first HE game. I could not find the MS-DOS versions of the demos on any of my discs, so I downloaded them from the ScummVM website. Here are the differences:
A fade occurs when the Junior Adventures logo appears.
The title screen is slightly different.
The demo, for some reason, only starts outside the garage.
The radio ad (heard at the beginning) is different.
Putt-Putt says something off-topic after he stops in front of the cow, except you may have to wait for at least a few seconds for him to specifically say something about it (which I did not get him to do in this video). Weird for a HE demo, huh?
There's only five screens to look at. You actually never get to look at the entire Cartown.
The gas gauge and the speedometer do not have dial sticks in this version of the demo.
The "Yes" and "No" buttons are at the end.
The cursor is in the yellow color.
The music is in MIDI format.
After the demo ends, it restarts.
Enjoy!
