How to Repair Snaps on Jackets and Bags?
The snap on my favorite jacket broke. Once in my youth, I already repaired such the snap. But only then did the back of the button fail. I remember that I then used the M2 screw. This time, the outer part failed and the M2.5 screw fit better under it. After such a repair, the snap will never come off.
Yes, it would be possible to use a spare snap, which is usually provided with a jacket. But its installation requires special equipment - a matrix and a punch. IMHO, buying such equipment for the sake of one button is impractical.
