Sweden to Singapore Globe Transition
A transition from a short film i did recently.
The zoom parts are based on the techniques of Andrew Kramer at www.videocopilot.net
The space part is made by myself from scratch.
Planar projection map with spherize effect, a couple of masks for glow and a lensflare as the sun.
I think it looks kinda nice allthough there are many flaws. Especially visual ones of you watch frame by frame. (Please don't ;) ). Theres some lighting errors on the globe when it spins, it should change with the suns position. The auras work better though. Also the globe is not realistic, no clouds etc, and the oceans show the seabed and not the water surface :)
