The story of Grace Gifford and Joseph Plunkett, where the latter was executed for his part in the Eastern Rising of 1916. Before his execution, the two were married in the chapel of the Kilmainham Gaol and were allowed to spend a couple of hours together before he was shot. She never remarried.
