Perth has a ~0.6% rental vacancy rate and is now considered one of the hardest cities in the world to find a rental. People are being forced to compete and outbid each other, and more and more people don't have access to safe and reliable housing as a result.
The rental crisis isn't going to solve itself. The government have the power to make changes, but they don't. When we head to the ballot box, we need to prioritise electing people to positions of power who will act in line with the country's best interests (even when doing so contradicts their own).
