Gruesome Serial Killer Charged in Gilgo Beach Murders/True Crime/Documentary.
Rex Heuermann, a 59-year-old architect, has been arrested and charged with the murders of three women, Melissa Barthelemy, Megan Waterman, and Amber Costello, whose bodies were found on Gilgo Beach in Long Island in 2010. Heuermann has pleaded not guilty to the charges and is also suspected in the disappearance and death of a fourth woman, Maureen Brainard-Barnes. A trial date has not been set, and Heuermann's family will participate in a documentary about the case.
