The Hirshberg Pancreas Tissue Bank at UCLA
Since 2005, the Hirshberg Foundation has funded Dr David Dawson and the UCLA Pancreas Tissue Bank as part of our ongoing efforts to find a cure for pancreatic cancer. Dr. Dawson has collected frozen tissue samples from thousands of pancreatic resections and utilized archival clinical materials to construct several large tissue microarrays of pancreatic adenocarcinoma, pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors, and periampullary, duodenal and bile duct cancers. The bio bank samples are available to researchers and scientists around the globe to do discovery and validation of experiments.
