Nordkapp Motorcycle Tour 66 - Down to Gjesvær, to the Harbor
The next day was spent on a 20-something-kilometer hike to the northernmost point of Europe. (Nordkapp is almost the northernmost!). We got back to the parking lot around 6 PM, and it felt especially good to hop back on the bike! :D
With the remaining time, I wanted to ride around the island and visit Skarsvåg and Gjesvær. The road to Gjesvær stretches across a long plateau and then slowly descends. That’s when it gets truly exciting—winding down through a wide valley surrounded by streams and lakes.
The bay of Gjesvær was literally mirror-smooth, and the surrounding mountains reflected almost unrealistically in the water under the golden light of the evening sun. I’ll never forget it!
