Chiropractic Patient has Severe Scoliosis with Harrington Rods
She has harrington rods from her thoracic spine down to her lumbar spine. Harrington rods are a surgical device that was popular in the 1960s and are no longer used today. Since she doesn't have rods in her cervical spine, she was able to safely receive an adjustment in her neck. For her mid back and low back we did myofascial release aka Active Release Technique to break up adhesions and we finished with a Y Axis distraction (no adjustment)
