Flame Instruments Takt - Generative Ambient Test
The Takt sequencer by @flame_instruments really shines for live realtime manipulation. In my journey of learning and exploring this module, I thought it would be interesting to see how it did generating a semi generative ambient track.
Takt has 4 built in analogue LFO's !! All of which have individually selectable waveforms (26 to choose from). Syncable to clock , another LFO or any track. With various parameters.
Here I used 2 of them as a CV source for the 2 voices. They were ran into a quantizer for pitch info.
Using midi out for drums across the 8 tracks, allows you to still use the analogue gate and cv track outputs for anything you want across your system ! For this all the drums were sent via midi into the batboy.
I then used gates from track 5 and 6 for the envelopes and rhythmic info on the 2 melodic voices. Those can then be manipulated realtime (seen in video) using the sensors for bursts and fills, buttons for muting tracks, changing tempo realtime, and using the variation knob to take away gate information.
Although this is a fairly simple test, Tkt did great ! this entire patch is under the control of TAKT !
