Only One Cannoli
This is the first ad in the “Darth Donut” series NOT to feature the titular character! Because of this, my Dad thought this commercial offered a nice change of pace from the usual formula. However, it caught flak from Dunkin’ execs for its portrayal of a dysfunctional work environment in their stores. Additionally, the Star Wars execs did not appreciate that their beloved character, Obi-Wan Kenobi, was being mischaracterized as a difficult customer.
Yes, technically the singular of "cannoli" is "cannolo". Maybe there's a pun there with Han Solo but my Dad didn't think of it at the time.
