Using Masks in Blender's Video Sequence Editor (27)
*2025 Update: to censor, apply the mask to remove content. Use Gaussian Blur as an artistic effect only, because it can be reversed*
Once you have created a mask within the Movie Clip Editor, you can apply it to strips in the Video Sequence Editor. In this second video of a 3-part series, we see how to censor a subject by blurring or removing their face by adding our mask as a Mask Modifier.
The next video will cover how to animate masks, including turning them on and off as needed.
