Boot strapping a mill part 5
Today I do a little more on the vice, this time finish off the base and maching and mount the fixed jaw.
As mentioned in the previous video, the vice (vise) is a copy of one designed and made by Rudy Kouhoupt, published in Home Shop Machinist Vol 10, No. 6 Nov/ Dec 1991.
For such a simple design, it's an interesting build and I'm hoping to use it on my surface grinder, as well as in other ways - while it won't handle lots of power, with lighter cuts it should be fine
