Trying my hand at a new genre of pop, as well as some new instruments!
This one was made over one night, from evening until morning. I was satisfied with how it sounded then, but perpetually heard how much better it would sound if I did so and so. RIDICULOUS hours were further spent adjusting, listening, experimenting, and polishing here and there. (Not to say it's perfect.) Some good ideas came out of this, thankfully, but other polishings were just time sinks. One problem most frustrating was the choir at the end, which initially sounded pretty plastic. I missed meals sculpting its harmonics trying to make it blend! (Turns out the issue was that I stereo widened it too far when it's so prominent in the mix.)
Trying to create sublime things is my life. Don't be like me, be healthy and free and stuff. If you have to make art, take it to 99% and let it go.
