Tomb Crawler - Eviternity II OST (MAP06)
"Tomb Crawler" from MAP06 of Eviternity II.
For MAP06, I had always thought of writing a subdued piece to start off the second episode, inspired particularly by how the megawad Epic 2 begins with a calm track from Daggerfall. For a long time, the MAP06 slot was occupied by completely different map made by Dragonfly, but when he decided to scrap this level, the map slot was taken over by an_mutt, who was coincidentally thinking of the very same Daggerfall track when making Rite. It doesn't get much easier than that!
Written over 3 days in August 2023, Tomb Crawler turned out a bit darker and more menacing by comparison, but I think this suits Rite pretty well with its dimly-lit halls and pretty punishing combat
