Snapdragon Digital Chassis: Qualcomm Automotive Technology Toolset
At Automotive Investor Day on September 22, 2022, Qualcomm gave additional details about how it is accelerating the digital transformation of the automobile, driven by the adoption of the Snapdragon Digital Chassis.
The Snapdragon Digital Chassis is Qualcomm’s comprehensive set of cloud-connected automotive platforms for everything from telematics to connectivity, driver assistance and autonomy, and computing. With the Snapdragon Digital Chassis, automakers have a new set of tools to provide intelligence, as well as connected features and experiences, to their customers.
The Snapdragon Digital Chassis includes several specific services: Snapdragon Ride, Snapdragon Automotive Connectivity, Snapdragon Cockpit, Snapdragon Car-to-Cloud Services, cellular vehicle-to-everything (C-V2X), and positioning solutions.
Snapdragon Ride is a scalable, fully customizable, and automotive safety integrity level (ASIL) compliant solution to help automakers develop advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS). When combined with the Snapdragon Ride Vision System and Drive Stack, the Snapdragon Ride Platform is moving the autonomous driving industry forward.
Snapdragon Automotive Connectivity provides 4G, 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, DSDA, and other advanced connectivity services to drivers and passengers, supporting both safety and infotainment.
Snapdragon Cockpit is the comprehensive architecture to bring intelligent and novel experiences to passengers and drivers; Snapdragon Cockpit includes features lane-level navigation, in-cabin monitoring, natural voice controls, and active noise cancellation, amongst other features.
