Rutene Spooner is New Zealand comedian and singer who performs with the kiwi group Modern Māori Quartet, he also makes documentaries and loves cabaret. His new solo show is called Be Like Billy, a big band tribute to his idol Billy T James and to the show tunes Rutene loves.
In this interview with Andrew Whiteside he shares his mischievous side, his respect for Billy T, and his go to comfort food.
