Oil Pastel Monoprinting to Explore Mark Making
In this video I consider reference material before a short demonstration of how to set up an oil pastel monoprint. It’s a drawn transfer technique which will allow you to explore time and mark making without plotting the proportions of the drawing. I advice you focus on a clearly defined object with no shadows initially and try different sorts of pressure and marks. Blending outlines to generate edges can create a solid 3D form.
