Zoom is a video conferencing platform that can be used for many different purposes. One reason may be for training, or tutoring, or mentoring and there may be a time that it’s more convenient to give the other person remote control.
When you give someone else remote control, they are able to take control of your computer and actually move your mouse for you. This can be very convenient for troubleshooting issues you may be having.
If you give or request for remote control access and then the person is unable to control your computer, you may need to go into your privacy settings to allow the person to control your computer. This is a separate setting from ZOOM. On a Mac you can find it under “accessibility” and once you turn that application on you won’t have to do that step for the next time.
