The Lava Planet takes Kyle back to Nar Shaddaa during Harkov's defection. As he is on the search for a way to Vorstraat, a young volcanic planet hence it's nickname. As an Imperial freighter made a crash landing after a pirate attack which holds an important Ion Catalyst that would give the Imperials an even bigger edge in space superiority.
The planet is already being patrolled by Imperial ships. A smuggler's ship would do well to slip past. Finding the downed freighter among the volcanic terrain. As well as deal with any imperial patrols.
