Have you ever been drunk? If you're under the age of 21 I'm going to assume the answer is "no." Most of us become different people when we drink either for better or worse. What if we could have a conversation with that person?
The question I get asked most often is, "do you ever plan on moving out of our basement?" When my parents aren't hounding me about that, people usually ask if I'm actually drunk in all these videos. And by "usually," I mean every now and again someone brings it up.
"That's a really stupid question. Have you ever actually been drunk before? Because I've never seen anyone act that way. It's called acting, and I'm not very good at it."
...Is what I'm thinking. What I actually say is something along the lines of, "no."
The idea for these videos was the result of having no one else to put in front of the camera. My friends help out when they can, but we're getting older now. They have jobs. Wives. They don't always have time to make their mark on YouTube. What can I say, they're terrible people.
My dream is to one day make a feature film. If that's ever going to happen I need to improve my craft as a "filmmaker." I use quotes because, lets be honest, they're necessary. In order to make this dream to come true I need practice. Just because no one's around to make cinematic gold with, doesn't mean movie magic can't be made. Sometimes you have to take matters into your own hands...with no one else...by yourself...All alone.
